The Bicycle Car used by the Ski Train on the summer runs was nearly 50 years old when this picture was taken. The combine was built in 1950 by Pullman-Standard and bought by Rio Grande for its Prospector, an overnight Denver-Salt Lake train. Later it served on the Rio Grande Zephyr and on the earlier version of the Ski Train. In it's most recent incarnation, all the seats have been removed and bicycle racks installed, to carry mountain bikes for summertime patrons. (8/14/99)

Interestingly, although Ski Train lettering has been applied to the middle of the car, the vestibule end is still lettered for the D&RGW.
