Arrowhead Arch

From Moab, drive north on Rt. 191 and turn right onto Rt. 128 just before crossing the bridge over the Colorado River. This is a very scenic highway which passes through Professor Valley (where many movies have been made), Castle Valley, and Fisher Towers - all worth visiting. It crosses the Colorado River on a new bridge which replaced an old suspension bridge (Dewey Bridge) which is still there. A little over 3 miles beyond this bridge, the Yellow Cat Trail turns left. This is an easy four-wheel-drive trail; but there are many confusing turns to get to the arch. Contact the author for specific directions or obtain a map in Moab. |
