Eye of the Needle

Eye of the Needle is located in Death Valley National Park. The arch is located in Echo Canyon. A dirt/gravel road turns north from Rt. 190 about 2 miles south of the intersection of the Badwater Rd. and Rt. 190. This road is recommended for high clearance vehicles only. After traveling a few hundred feet on this road, a small sign "Echo Canyon" will verify being on the correct route. About 3.3 miles up this road, it enters Echo Canyon. The arch will be visible about 1 1/2 miles up the Canyon. This 1 1/2 miles is navigable in 4wd vehicles only. Photo by Robert O'Connell |
