When the author visited this arch, one could drive right up to the arch on a four-wheel-drive trail; but he has read recently that this trail may not be open now. North of Moab, US 191 passes the entrance to Arches National Park and ascends Moab Canyon. Further north, Utah 313 turns left to the Island-in-the-Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. About 14.6 miles from the Rt. 191 turnoff, a four-wheel-drive trail turns to the left. There may or may not be a sign "Gemini Arch 4 miles" (signs have a way of diappearing). If you can find it, drive down this trail to the side trail (this is the one which may be closed) to the arch. Although it is not evident in the photo, there is a narrow slot making it two separate arches.
