This arch is located within the boundaries of the Tribal Park and is located
in Double Arch Canyon, the same canyon in which Eye of the Dove is located.
Both arches could easily be visited on the same trip. It was named for the late
Robert H. Vreeland who discovered and documented hundreds of natural
spans throughout the United States. His booklets and his personal
encouragement were the foundation and inspiration not only for the Natural
Arch and Bridge Society, but for many others who later became avid arch
hunters. The author found many of the arches on this site by following the
directions in his booklets. The arch has an estimated span of 60 ft. It is not
on any of the regular guided tours; and a Navajo guide is required for visitation.
