These formations (also called "The Chalk Pyramids) inexplicably erupt from the plains of western Kansas. The formations are not shown on all maps. Going west, I-70 makes a sharp turn to the northwest near the town of Oakley. Leave I-70 at Exit 76 and turn south on Rt. 83 at Oakley. The turnoff (to the left) is about 22 miles south of Oakley. |
