Pool Arch
Pool Arch lies in an area of huge sandstone fins north of Cane Creek Blvd and east of the Pritchett Canyon 4wd trail. Ron Tuttle has succeeded in finding a route to the arch which does not involve climbing chimneys. In driving down Cane Creek Blvd. one passes a gravel drive which ascends to a ledge where there is a private trailer residence. This ledge is the trailhead for the route to the arch. The trail follows the ledge west and then turns left to go between fins. Because of the difficulty in identfiying which fins to hike between, e-mail the author for a map on which Ron has marked the route to the arch. The arch is sandwiched down between large fins and is very difficult to photograph. It has a span of 63 ft. and a height of 85 ft. The photo is a composite of several individual photos.
