As an educator, I intend to take full advantage of the information age and it's capacity to help parents assist in their child's education, as well as supplement regular core curriculum with online learning tools.
CONNECTING PARENTS WITH SCHOOLS
- Make avaiable relevant information, including grades and student progress.
- Open communication channels with parents, allowing them to email or contact myself through other more accomodating means.
- Make services available to as many parents as possible, translating information about the student if necassary.
SUPPLEMENTAL ONLINE LEARNING
- Using the internet, make available resources and links that will help students learn important material.
- Include lecture notes from class.
- Open moderated discussion forums where students can communicate and assist eachother with school work.
