LAURA CONWAY(of the year 3952) was born with the ability to control gravity. Fearful of her own great power, she kept her talent hidden until the fateful day she met the legendary super-team known as the FURIES. She assumed the identity of GRAVITY GIRL, and went on to become a founding member of the short-lived POWER SQUAD. When the Squad time-travelled to the late 20th century, she became enamored of the Earth in that era. Laura found herself alone and pregnant, choosing to take up residence in the late 20th century to raise her child in a simpler time and place.
Eventually she elected to return to her own time era. Later,
GALAXY GIRL travelled to the present day, claiming to be the daughter of
Laura and KROLAR-OM. Though Krolar knew this to be an impossibility (despite
Galaxy Girls' powers and appearances) he has done nothing to dissuade her
of this notion, not wishing to hurt her. He has taken her under his wing
to keep an (adoptive) ffatherly eye on her. The true parentage of her children
(yes, there are two) and the final fate of GRAVITY GIRL are shrouded in
mystery, though it is now known that she passed away in a remote village
on the planetoid Pluto in the year 3975.
