The Head was the dis-embodied head of Ki-Zar. It was the cosmic power of the Head that gave Dratus his fantastic powers. In times of need Dratus would call upon the Head to deliver life giving cosmic power to help Dratus defeat his enemies. Dratus had no idea that the "Head of Ki-Zar" was in fact the head of Rashim the galaxy destroyer. In a desperate gamble to save their solar system, the Ki-Zarians managed to disable Rashim long enough to re-program him, erasing (or so they thought) his memory and dismantling him. They hid his various body parts through out several galaxies in the hopes of Rashim never being put back together again. On Earth in the 1970s, Mel Inium managed to do the impossible...unleash Rashim on an un-suspecting galaxy full of life
