JO-KANN is a native of the planet TRIGA, a world where women are the warriors and men are very much oppressed. She became a GLEA member and one of the charter members of the special powers forces, a pre-Zodiac combat unit. When the Zodiac moved to Earth and declared themselves independent of the GLEA, she was assigned to the Earth as GLEA liason officer. She became a member of the short-lived first incarnation of the JUSTIFIERS. Eventually she fell in love with Zodiac member SAGITTARIUS.
When the Zodiac satellite fell before the power of RASHIM, the High Supreme perished in the battle. A secret protocol went into effect, and JO-KANN became the new High Supreme of the GLEA. Her younger sister, AJA-KANN has taken her place on the Earth and now has become a full-fledged Zodiac member assuming the mantle of VIRGO. Both sisters have the power of unlimited flight, and discharge laser-like energy from their hands..
