| Chris Faber served with Ham Tyler
during the Vietnam War, and the two became close friends. After the war,
Chris continued to work with Ham as his explosives expert. They worked together
on many projects. Even a few with Mike Donovan.
During the First Invasion,
Chris and Ham joined the L.A. Resistance and informed them of the existence
of a worldwide resistance effort called The World Liberation Front. The
resistance was glad to find out that there were others out there that knew
about the Visitors.
Chris arrived along with Ham
at the Visitor headquarters. Chris is an expert in explosives and his knowledge
to construct explosives powerful enough to blow Visitor pumping equipment
was needed. Chris uses a crossbow and mini machine gun in his battles with
the Visitors. At the end of the Final Battle on the ground he and Ham attack
a Visitor headquarters with red dust while their fate is determined in the
battles onboard the Mother Ships above them.
Chris was able to prevent the
complete destruction of Club Creole by wiring the explosives set in the store
to destroy only the club portion of the establishment, leaving the underground
Resistance hideout intact. When the Visitors returned to Earth after discovering
the ineffectiveness of the Red Dust, Chris joined a desert resistance unit
to fight them.
The Visitors eventually wiped
out his unit, and Chris returned to the L.A. area to assist in getting war
orphans out of the military zone and into the Open City. Also assisting in
this endeavor was the L.A. Resistance group, so Chris was reunited with Ham
Tyler and the other resistance members. Chris and Ham eventually left Los
Angeles to escort Robin Maxwell and the star child Elizabeth to a safe zone
in Chicago, where they presumably joined the resistance efforts in that
city.
Chris was called to North Carolina
by Anne Marino. A scientist, when things spiraled out of control. A Bean
farmer, Durk Attweiler had joined scientists in reconnaissance of the Crrivit
farm, and discovers the existence of another Visitor animal, the Verlog.
After some time the Farm was destroyed. |
