Personal Details: When Lydia returned to the Home world to "inform" on Diana, she was ordered to return to Earth accompanying Charles. Acting as the Leader's Special Envoy, his task was to take over the war effort (thus becoming Diana's superior) and to monitor Diana's actions. Charles brings with him a special guard who wore white visitor trooper armor.

Charles was well known throughout the fleet for his prowess with the opposite sex, and had many of the female crewmembers swooning over him. Charles took over negotiations with Nathan Bates in deciding the fate of the Open City. Charles was also responsible for the new "conversion" process used on Ham Tyler, which resulted in Ham's attempt to kill Mike Donovan, but killing Nathan Bates instead.

Lydia was one of the females who fell in love with Charles, and she was devastated when he announced his plans to marry Diana -- as he was a member of the house of Ramalon Diana could not refuse his proposal, and she would then be forced to return to the Home world to raise his children, effectively ending her military career. Despite Diana's attempts to escape from it, Charles and Diana were married. Lydia, insanely jealous (especially when she discovered that Charles had decided to let Diana stay on the Mother ship), poisoned a goblet that Diana would be drinking from in the bridal suite. Diana suspected Lydia's plot, however, and switched cups with Charles. Charles died on his wedding night.

Additional Details: Charles was not known for loosing nore did he like loosing.
