Alaska
You will never entirely leave
On this page I am going to insert some pictures taken during the four trips I've made up to the "Great Land", all in light airplanes.  No order, rhyme or reason, please don't look for that, just enjoy the pictures and thank God for this slice of heaven on earth!

Cabins at Jake's Bar in St.Elias National Park, the place was so beautiful, peaceful and remote that Ben and I spent parts of three days and two whole nights here. July 2000 Cub Trip

This monster was 46 inches long and weighed an even 40 pounds, the grin says it all, July 2000 Cub Trip

It was July of 02 before I got back to Alaska in my Cub, I spent 5 weeks with a huge grin on my face, exploring, fishing, landing on sand bars and ocean beaches, chasing bears and meeting the people that make this Great Land interesting.  Here's a shot of an Arctic Char that went 11 pounds and 32 inches long, I wouldn't have caught him if a Native guy hadn't given me a hook that they bite up there on the Kelly.  I would have taken the picture and set him free but I pulled one of his lips off while trying to let him loose.  Bummer, but Arctic Char is far and away the best tasting fish I've ever eaten.
