Actually I prefer Captain Hazzard
of Captain Hazzards Parachuting School for Cat's
I
would never harm an innocent little kitty I just like the looks on the
gals faces when I say that!
On this page I would like to
show off my new work airplane with a couple of pictures and a short narrative
and also include a picture of and some parting words on my good and faithful
friend
Cub 91241
Next three Pictures are of my new Work Airplane,
a 1996 Aviat Husky
Couldn't decide whether to call him "Fang"
or "Critter"
So I settled on 'The Growler'
The Husky is a tandem seat, high wing, conventional gear (tail wheel configuration) airplane equipped with a Lycoming O-360 / 180 horses. Huskies are built in Scenic and Rustic Afton Wyoming by true artisians at the Aviat Factory. Its rugged construction along with many hunting mods make it an ideal Predator Control Airplane. With the addition of a Hartzel controllable pitch propeller the top end no wind speed is around 130 mph, that makes those long ferry flights over the Great Salt Lake a little less terrifying as opposed to my Cherished old Cub that had a no wind cruise of nearly 100 mph. Just one thing about this airplane I really hate...Give up? Its those damnable 12 inch numbers, any nutcase with a pair of binoculars can cause trouble for you with the FAA. Might not take a lot of effort to convert it to say...N88BO, I'm sure that I'll get a phone call for just suggesting that. Just kidding.
This is a shot of Super Cub N91241, it has
been a good and faithful companion for 14 years and about 7800 flight hours.
With this airplane I've had adventures and experiences that a guy
couldn't buy with all the money in the world. Those of you that fly know
how attached we get to our airplanes and you can understand my reluctance
to turn the old Cub loose. It helps that I have my own Cub,
that keeps that Cub mystic alive and well in my physic
I have probably 3 three thousand digital pictures
of my Cub N8103Y, from the day they brought it over in pieces from Colorado
Springs to the Culmination of all my Aerial Dreams, a gravel bar to land
on, a stream to catch Salmon and Arctic Char in, a dry spot to set
up my tent. Two trips to Alaska later (I hope to change that 2 to
a 3 a year from now) several exploring trips into the Utah Canyon Country,
uncountable trips to Delle with the guys to get coffee and the weeks gossip,
airshows, Snow days with the Morgan Guys on skis, Camping and exploring
in Idaho's back country-Mile Hi a must for any Cub Pilot and days
flying aimlessly just to be in the air in my own airplane, that's what
it's all about. Here's my favorite picture so far of my Little Cub,
can't think of a fitting name for him, but he's game for anything, stong
of courage and depth of character, did I mention that I've bonded
with my airplane? I don't care much anymore what people think, I
love that little airplane and don't try to hide it.

I guess a guy's home
page should include a little about his life, his times, his family, education,
goals, successes, failures, wants, needs, dreams, hopes, disappointments,
friends, home, military, pets, talents, skills, favorite teachers, favorite
bosses, kids accomplishments, in-laws, outlaws, adventures, fame (in),
hobbies, near death experiences, medical history, .....I don't think
any of you reading this care about any of that, if you do then buy me a
beer and I'll fill you in on the details. For this little spot in
our universe lets stay with airplanes and the nuts that fly them and the
neat places they go with them. Like I say Aviation
