My name is Fredricka Reshell Holloway pronounced [fred-ree-kah rah-shell]. What's in a name? Well, Fredricka is the feminine form of Fredrick which comes from Friedrich meaning "strong and peaceable ruler". The closest historical form of Reshell are Richielle or Ricielle. Richelle, the feminine form of Richard, means "stern ruler". And Ricielle, in African American culture refers to "beautiful child of God".

So this basically boils down to the fact that I am destined to be a gentle, but powerful Nubian queen representing beauty both inside and out....or that my parents thought I was going to be a boy and planned on naming me after my father, Fred but when they discovered I was a girl they figured - what the heck, we'll alter the name a little bit - go figure!
