129. Benjamin L. Brossman was born on 31 August 1810 in Heidelberg Township, Berks Co., PA.²⁴ He died on 2 September 1898 at the age of 88 in Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks Co., PA.²⁴ He was buried in St. Daniel's Church Cemetery, Robesonia, PA.²⁴

Benjamin Brossman was born on the homestead August 31, 1810 and he died upon his farm in Lower Heidelberg at the ripe old age of 88 years and two days. He was an intelligent citizen in position of honor and trust. He served as school director, supervisor and frequently was a delegate to County Corrections. He was Captain in the State Militia, a military organization of his day and the sword he wore is now in the possession of his youngest son, Hillorius! Mr. Brossman was an exceedingly versatile man, his ability as a mechanic, making him an expert cabinet maker, carpenter and cooper, and blacksmith, he understood tree grafting, as few men did. He successfully grafted shell backs, chestnuts, and all kinds of fruits, also budded peach trees. He made a number of musical instruments including a piano which his son Isaac W. now possesses and has also repaired musical instruments. In 1872, he erected the present house upon his farm. This reflects the skill of his workmanship. As all the doors, wainscoting, and etc. were made by hand. In this house there may also be seen a bureau, beds, and an old-fashioned Grandfather's clock, which he made in 1876. He and his family were members of St. Daniel's Church and the family lot is in the cemetery connected with their church. He married Catherine Werner who was born April 15, 1815, and died October 20, 1880."

Benjamin L. Brossman and Catharina Werner were married on 11 May 1833 in Trinity Luth. Ch., Reading, PA.²⁴ Catharina Werner, daughter of Andrew Werner and Catherine Jackson, was born on 15 April 1815 in Berks Co., PA.²⁴ She died on 20 October 1880 at the age of 65.²⁴ She was buried in St. Daniel's Church Cemetery, Robesonia, PA.²⁴ Catherine was a cousin to Henry Werner, husband of Eva Brossman, Benjamin's sister.

Amelia Christina Brossman was born on 4 March 1846 in Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks Co., PA.²⁴ She was baptized on 13 September 1846 in St. John's (Hain's) Church, Wernersville, PA.²⁵ Sponsor was Elizabeth Brossman (single). She died on 22 May 1922 at the age of 76.²⁴ Amelia was buried in St. John's (Hain's) Church Cemetery, Wernersville, PA. Amelia may not have been married since she is buried in the same lot as her brother Levi.
