56. (John) Peter Brossman¹² was born on 17 April 1766 in Berks Co., PA. He was baptized on 8 May 1776 in Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, Berks Co., PA. He died on 30 August 1837 at the age of 71 in Stouchsburg, Berks Co., PA.

(John) Peter Brossman and Cathrine Beier (Beyer/Boyer) were married on 19 April 1791 in Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, Berks Co., PA.¹²

JWB Note:
It appears that (John) Peter Brossman's sons Benjamin and Samuel moved to Illinois about 1830-1833. Even though both were born with the name Brossman, census records indicate that Benjamin and all of his offspring have become known as Bressman. In Samuel's case, some, but maybe not all of his offspring apparently became known as Brosman.

This is apparently the effect of different census takers and different pronunciation with the German accent.

(John) Peter Brossman and (Eva) Christina Hoffman were married on 19 May 1807 in Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, Berks Co., PA.¹³ (Eva) Christina Hoffman¹³ was born on 9 April 1770.¹³ She died on 6 January 1861 at the age of 90.¹³ She was buried in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shaefferstown, PA.¹³

(John) Peter Brossman-182 and (Eva) Christina Hoffman-183 had the following children:
