231. Adam Bender Brossman was born on 7 October 1845 in North Heidelberg Twp., Berks Co., PA.²⁴ He was christened on 29 January 1846 in St. John's (Hain's) Church, Wernersville, PA. He died on 28 October 1924 at the age of 79 in Reading, Berks Co., PA.²⁴ Adam was buried in Charles Evans Cemetary, Reading, PA.²⁴

"Adam Bender Brossman now living retired in Reading where he is highly esteemed, was born in North Heidelberg Township, October 7, 1845, son of Adam L. Brossman and Elizabeth Bender Brossman. he was educated in the common schools of Berks County and attended Keystone State Normal School and Prof. Brummer's Business College, after which he taught school for several years. He was then appointed deputy warden of the Berks County Prison, serving in that capacity for four years; and then appointed to the position of warden, which he filled for three years.

In 1886 he moved to Robesonia where he lived and retired for two years. In 1888 he located in a Reading section known as Ricktown! He was also engaged in other enterprises, being director of the Schuylkill Valley Bank, from its incorporation until 1906, when he retired from that position. Mr. Brossman was married May 30, 1876 to Ellen R. Richards, daughter of Benjamin and Louisa Richards and to their union, has been born a daughter, Bessie L, who married June 18, 1906, George G. Kreider, a bookkeeper of Reading, PA."

Richards, daughter of Benjamin Richards and Louisa (unknown), was born on 30 August 1848.²⁴ She died on 25 June 1903 at the age of 54.²⁴ She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetary, Reading, PA.²⁴

Adam Bender Brossman and Sarah J. Richards were married on 12 June 1913.²⁴ Sarah J. Richards was born on 12 October 1854.²⁴ She died on 18 May 1922 at the age of 67.²⁴ She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetary, Reading, PA.²⁴
