Screen
Shots for the Show Secretary© program
Shown below are just a few of the
main screens for the Show Secretary© program.
This is the Main
Menu window for the program. Each menu item has several options attached
to them.
This
window will allow you to enter names into the Mail File and associate them with
one or more specialty clubs that might show with your show. You enter the
name; address; telephone number and e-mail address if desired and select a Club
Affiliation. You may select one or more
of these clubs which you pre enter and this will allow you to print mailing
labels for selected clubs.
This window is used to enter Exhibitors
into the program. If you have names and addresses in the Mail File, you
can Double Click on the name in the list box and fill in the number of birds at
each cost and the amount they paid and click ADD. If the
exhibitor isn't in the Mail File, just type in the information. Later
there is an option that will add this name to the Mail file for you for the
next show. Note the exhibitor number. This goes on the exhibitor’s
entry blank. As you add birds; sale
cages; meals etc. the amount the exhibitor owes is constantly calculated. Later when you print a finance report for the
show, the amount the exhibitor still owes or has overpaid will be shown.
This
is the Breed Add window for Poultry. The Pigeon section of the program
does not have the class names. The breed
names are required in order to enter the birds in the correct breed. Having the breeds set up this way allows for
easier entries, printing of specific breeds and there is an option when you get
ready for a new show and existing files must be deleted, the Breed name file
may not be deleted and may be used over.
This window will let you
enter birds into the show after you have entered the breeds you will use.
You select an Exhibitor, a Breed and then a Color. If a Color isn't in
the list box, you type a new one. Enter a Band Number, Click an Age Sex
designation and check if a Junior Entry. As enter a new color, it will be added
to the bottom list box and be available for use. Since exhibitors often enter birds of the
same color in order, when you add the bird to the file, the color used will be
repeated. If you need to change the
color, select an existing one or type a new one
This
window will allow you to rearrange the breed list so that similar breeds are located
next to each other or so that the breeds fit into the show hall better.
Double Click a breed name and use the up and down arrow to move it
around. When the coop numbers are assigned, they will be assigned in this
order. When you click the Change button
the list will be revised. You may move
as many of the breeds around as you want then click the change button.
This is the window that is used to
assign coop numbers. First you enter a starting coop number then you
select any breeds that you want sorted by exhibitor. This will sort those
breeds first by exhibitor, then assign coop numbers then sort by the largest
color class, then age and sex. This is very often used for Fantails and Jacobins
where the exhibitors want all their birds located in contiguous coops. The remaining breeds will be sorted in the
traditional way, which is sorted by the largest color class, then age and sex
then have coop numbers assigned. There is also an option to sort the
birds alphabetically by color as well.
If you sort Alphabetically by Color or by Age and Sex, you cannot sort
certain breeds by exhibitor.
This is the window for the
Print Show option. When you print the Judging
Sheets, you will have the option of printing a cover sheet; including the
exhibitor’s names on the cover sheet and/or the judging sheets; and including
the junior entries with the main show entries.
You
may also print separate judging sheets for just the junior entries.
This is the main window for the Show Report section.
This option will allow you to place all birds by 1, 2, 3 etc. and along with a
premium amount for each place, you can print a report that will show how much
each exhibitor has won. Or you can just give each bird a win title they
have earned. A report can then be printed for each breed or each
exhibitor showing those win titles.
