If data fields change, update your layouts

One sometimes adds to the events, facts, and notes that are used in the family file. For example, one might decide to add the Residence event as a seperate item instead of including it in, say, the miscellaneous notes. When you change the events, facts, or notes, that you use in the file, you should check any custom layouts that you have defined to decide whether or not to use the changed data. The new data fields will show up in the layout definitions, but will not be included automatically. You have to check the appropriate boxes to include them in your custom layouts.
