Days - A Handy Freeware Calendar Utility

People have from time to time asked about the French Republican calendar and Generations software. That is not supported in the present release. Generations software also does not have the ability to convert Scandinavian feast days to calendar dates. There is a very handy calendar utility which handles the Julian, Gregorian, and Republican calendars, and also deals with the Scandinavian feast-day name calendar. The latter is often found in the christening records for the Scandinavian countries and the church books do not always list the actual calendar date. The program is called "Days," and it is free. The original version is in Danish and is called "Dage." It was developed by Otto Chr. Thygesen and it is available at his web site, http://octhygesen.homepage.dk/EngDage.html. The latest version of Days is 1.2e of 17 January 2000 and it now has the ability to calculate the date based on the years-months-days basis and a starting date.
