Linden Township.

Mrs. Samuel J. Harbo, daughter of Clement Halverson, pioneer and clerk of Linden township for 56 years, died at the Harbo home in Linden yesterday at 5:10 p.m. Mrs. Harbo had been in failing health for over a year and her death was due to complications.
Mrs. Harbo, nee Ella Marie Halverson, was born in Linden township October 8, 1887, and grew to womanhood at the pioneer home there. She was married to her surviving husband at the Halverson home June 24, 1908, and Mr. and Mrs. Harbo have resided in Linden township since.
Mrs. Harbo is survived by nine children, as follows: Chesley J. Harbo, Linden; Mrs. Earl Knudson, Comfrey; Miss Sylvia Harbo, employed as nurse at Union hospital; Miss Myrtle Harbo, instructor in the Sleepy Eye schools; Mrs. Westly Baumann, St. Paul; Arlo, the Misses Frances and Gladys Harbo, and Samuel Harbo, Jr., at home.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Dr. John Halverson, Raleigh, N. C.; Mrs. Theo. Liangen [sic], Linden; Alfred Halverson, Linden; Mrs. Verne Lewis, Lewisville; Edward Halverson, Bonetrail, N. D.; Willard Halverson, Hanska; Mrs. George Gronbold [sic], Lewisville; Miss Lucille Halverson, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Ernest Asleson, Linden." 22

The godparents and witnesses at his christening were Olia Paulsdatter, Olete Tormodson, Paul Paulson, and P. Tormodson. He was confirmed at Linden Lutheran Church on 22 October 1892.

They were married at the Linden Lutheran Church. The witnesses were Harbo Thorson, Lillie May Halvorson, and C. Halvorson.

Resided in Linden Twp., Brown Co., Minnesota. He was called "Sam T. Harbo" in the 1900 census. He was living on his father's farm at the time of the 1910 census.

Sam and Ella share a headstone in the Linden cemetery. It is inscribed as follows:
