Misc. Notes
The godparents and witnesses at his christening were Hans O. Frisvold, E. P. Sveene, Erik K. Brimi, Ronnaug E. Arneson, Ronnaug K. Brimi, and Berit F. Lyngved.

He is the E. S. Laingen of Theodore Laingen's address book, living at 1706 W North St., Chicago, Illinois, in 1907, at the same address as Knud K. Brimi. He is also the Earl Laingen of Minneapolis who attended Thorsten Laingen's anniversary party in 1936.

He is listed, as "Erland Lingen," living at 3517 16th Ave. S., Minneapolis, during the 1920 census. That is the location where he was listed in the 1935 city directory and where he died. He was listed as a waiter working at 22 N. 6th in that city directory. He was still a waiter, working at Schiek's Restaurant, at the time of his death. His death certificate shows that he had been in Minneapolis for 38 years, so had moved there in 1907, not long after his immigration.

Not found in the Chicago area naturalization soundex, so it might have been in Minneapolis.

Erland and his family attended the Laingen Family Reunion at Minneopa State Park, Mankato, Minnesota, on 16 August 1931. They also attended the 21 August 1932 reunion at Sibley Park in Mankato. Erland gave a short talk at both the 1931 and 1932 family reunions.

Notes for Erland Sylfestsen & Ragnild (Family)
Given that he moved to Minneapolis in 1907, he probably married there. Check the Hennepin County marriage index and also the naturalization index.
