Misc. Notes
He was christened as "Trond Knudsen." The godparents and witnesses at his christening were Niels Garmoe, Ole ___, ____ ___, Arne Lyngved, Marit Garmoe, Berit _____. [quite hard to read] His name is hard to make out on his daughter's death record. It clearly begins with "Th" and has two small letters after that, but it could either be "Thor" or "Theo." It turns out to have been Tron.

Tron was confirmed on 23 February 1831.

He appears to have moved several times, farming at Brimi just after his marriage, then later at Lyngved, after that moving to Sondre Loftsgaard in Sel in Vågå, the parish next east of Garmo (Sel was to the east again).

Probate, see (bk. 13, p. 253 et seq.) mentions: widow, eldest son Knud Tronsen, Syver Bie, Paul Hansen Ekle, Knud Brimi Skerboenken. 1) son Kund Tronsen, gets Gaarden Loftsgaard, 2) son Paul Tronsen, 22 years,
3) Ronnog Trondsdatter, married Peder Knudsen Laengen and is dead for 3 or 4 years in America, but has son Charles Pederson Laengen, age 5 or 6 years, Knud Brimi of Lom will act as agent according to letter of 6 August 1875, 4) Ragnhild Trondsdatter, wife of Paul Hansen Ekle, 5) Ingeborg Trondsdatter, age 17

Examination of the "Otta" Norwegian topographic map (1718-IV), shows that the Loftsgard farm is just at the north edge of the modern town of Otta, at the junction of the Otta River (which flows through Skjåk, Lom, and Vågå), and the Lågen River, which joins it from the north.

Notes for Anna (Spouse 1)
The godparents and witnesses at her christening were Poul Frisvold, Syver Garmoe, Anne Garmoe, Tore Garmoe, and Anne Lyngved.

Her name is clearly listed as "Anna" in her daughter's death record.

Note: I could not find the record for the Sondre Loftsgaard farm in the 1900 census.

I have scanned the death records for Vaga from 1875 to 1905 and did not spot her death, though it could have been missed. She may have been as long-lived as her sister. I have also checked the Sel records 1894-1923 and did not see her death. Could they have moved/emigrated?
