Notes for Nicholas Tarnutzer
He was born in the Fajauna district. The godparents and witnesses at his christening were Clas Schaleben, Klas Meyer, Stina Flütschin, Anna Casalin, and Eva Kesslerin. His christening record is annotated with his death date.

They were living in the Fajauna district at the time of the 1848 census. The part of town he was living in when he died was Faj., short for Fajauna, on the hillside east of Schiers. This is confirmed by the fact that his son Rutger was described as being from Fajauna when he was confirmed.
