|Notes for Truman (Spouse 1)|
|Blakely (1883) and Banyer (1906) say he was from Rhode Island. He was an overseer of highways at the first Huntsville town meeting in 1822. He lived on Briar Creek, having moved there from the river road. According to Myers (1976, p. 153) he owned the property which on the "1900" map is occupied by Mrs. Heliker. Note that all of the Trask farms are very close together, so they very probably were related. This property is in the southeast corner of Otego Patent lot 18.|
His diary was extant as of 1941 and showed that he moved from Monson, MA, to Unadilla, Otsego Co., New York.
He was on Tolland Co., CT, deeds 1809-1814.
He and Noah Stimson, also of Stafford, bought land in western Stafford on 3 Dec 1795 from Elijah Town of Wilbraham, MA, adjoining that of Jedediah Cady, Stephen Holmes, and Elle Pratt.
Jedediah Cady, Truman Trask, and Noah Stimson of Stafford on 12 Jan 1810 sold land in the western part of Stafford to John Fuller of Monson, MA.
Truman Trask and Noah Stimson sold to John Fuller and Jedediah Cady a parcel in the west part of Stafford containing 14 acres on 12 June 1811.
Noah Stimson of Palmer, MA, and Truman Trask of Monson, MA sold to JedediahCady of Stafford, CT,] part of the land above, 13 Jan 1812
Pember Genealogy thought that they were married in Butternuts, Otsego Co., New York, while Corbin shows that it was Monson, Hampshire Co., MA. The marriage was performed by Abner Brown, J. P.
