|He had meadow land and land next to his blacksmith's shop granted to him in 1648. He was a sergeant in 1656 and a lieutenant in 1685. He was Selectman for Woburn in 1663, 1664, and 1685.|
He appears to have moved to Salem about 1664 after his wife Elizabeth died, and to have returned about 1684. After his second wife died, he again moved to Salem, where he married his third wife.
He purchased 300 acres in Salem (later Middleton) in 1663. He made out his will on 9 June 1698 and it was probated at Salem on 4 July 1698.
