Notes for Paulina Parks
Name listed as Pallina in town vital records, but all other references give the name as Paulina. F. G. Hobart, has her name Paulina Parks Brown, but no other data I have seen shows her to have married before Martin Hoar/Hobart.

She was living with her son Adin Hobart in Oak Creek, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin, at the time of the 1870 U.S. census.

Unnamed newspaper (Milwaukee or Oak Creek), date not given (1880):
"Mrs. Pauline Parks Hobart died at Oak Creek, Feb. 24, aged eighty-six years and seven months. She came to this place from Homer, N.Y., in 1841. Her death was the calm and peaceful falling to sleep of old age. She was an earnest and devout saint, in life beloved by all who knew her, and in death lamented by those who survive her. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. G. Haigh, at the Union Church, Feb. 27."4

Notes for Martin (Spouse 1)
His surname was changed to Hobart by an act of the New York state legislature, Chapter 137, 54th Session, passed 16 April 1831.

The 1830 census shows his children and one additional male, aged 15-20, perhaps a farm worker. Martin and his family moved from Homer, Cortland Co., New York, in 1841 to Oak Creek, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin. He is found in Oak Creek in the 1842, 1846, and 1847 territorial censuses. He and his son Lewis were active in founding the Congregational Church in Oak Creek. His real estate was worth $3,000 in 1850 according to the census. They were living adjacent to son Martin L. Hobart in 1860 in Oak Creek (now South Milwaukee), Wisconsin.

There is a Clara A. Hobart, age 27, born Connecticut, listed with them at the 1850 census. I am not sure of the relationship for this person.

Milwaukee County nominally began recording deaths in 1852, but the volume from 1852 to 1875 has only 9 entries before Dec 1871.

We had a copy of “The Collected Works of Robert Burns” in rather poor condition but with a flyleaf inscription showing that it belonged to Martin Hobart. However, this was lost in the Horseshoe Lake house fire in the summer of 1992.

Notes for Martin & Paulina (Family)
Where did this marriage take place? It is not shown in the Westfield or Southampton records, and Paulina was admitted to the Homer church by letter as Mrs. Paulina Hobart, so it didn't occur there. It also is not found in the Brimfield records.
