Notes for Dorothy Carpenter
Carpenter says that she sold land to her brother John in 1749.315 If the info I have about her death date is correct, then that sale involves a different Dorothy Carpenter. Alternatively, the date of the sale is wrong or the date of the death is wrong. [Q. Where did death date come from, it's not in Carpenter].315
Notes for Samuel (Spouse 1)
He and four successive generations of Bugbees lived in the same house in Roxbury, but he moved with his father from Roxbury, Massachusetts, to Woodstock, Windham, Connecticut. His farm in Woodstock was owned by Rev. Edwin S. Bugbee in 1870. When the old house on the same site had been taken down previously by Asa Bugbee, they found a board marked with the name of Samuel Bugbee and additional boards with name of his sone James and his grandson Hezekiah on them. This farm in the Eastern Valley was purchased, as no lot there had been drawn by a Bugbee.
