Notes for Ebenezer Savage
He moved from Middletown to New Framingham (now Lanesborough) in Berkshire County in 1763-4. He held various public offices in Middletown. He was moderator of a "proprietors meeting" organized in 1764 at New Framingham to provide for the ordination of Rev. Daniel Collins, first pastor of the Congregational Church in Lanesborough, organized 28 March 1764. He was elected "Surver of Hiways" in 1765. His estate was 397 pounds, 6 shillings, 3 pence.595 Adams adds that he fought in the French and Indian War.596
