Notes for Thomas Ranney
Adams has a considerable amount on his life.596 His will is reproduced, along with a drawing of his gravestone along with a photograph. He is supposed to be the first person buried in the Middletown Cemetery. There is also a map showing the location of his lot (p. 6). His estate was valued at 105 pounds in 1670, sixth of the eleven proprietors living north of the river (p. 10), and ninth of the fifty-two proprietors overall.

Cooke has his birthdate circa 1635, as opposed to the other sources circa 1616.627

Parsons notes that his lands were recorded in 1663, in v. I, p. 33, of the Middletown records.604
