Notes for Mary Dix
" The testimony of Thomas Fleg (Flagg) of Watertown, 1679, on court files, is, that 'Samuel Rice m. Mary, widow of Abraham Brown, about one year after Brown's death; and that she lived with him seven years, and then she died.'"561

Ward notes that the Concord records have the year of her death wrong. He also observes that they were probably in Concord as refuge from the Indians.561
Notes for Abraham (Spouse 1)
He had one child with his wife Mary, but that son died at age 13.
Notes for Samuel (Spouse 2)
He was 32 years old on 2 May 1666 according to his testimony on that date in a court case in Cambridge. He later lived in Sudbury and Marlborough. He and his second wife wer in Concord in 1675 when the latter died. They had probably moved there for greater safety during the fighting with the Indians.

Samuel's will was dated 10 February 1684 and proved 7 April 1685. His brothers Edward and Joseph Rice were the overseers of the will and the inventory of 6 March 1685 amounted to 349 pounds 2 s. 6 d.

He had six children with his first wife Elizabeth. Incidentally, Samuel, the youngest child with her was given to his "brother and sister King for their own" according to his will.

He had three children with wife Mary. He had one child with wife Sarah.561
