While different from her predecessor, which was crashed in the first movie, this version of the Batwing has its own appeal.
| Basic construction was done in sub-assemblies based on the kit
instructions. Rather than leaving the chrome parts for the inserts chrome, I opted to paint them and detail them slightly. First, I gave all of the chrome assemblies a base coat of grey. Then I gave them a black wash to draw out the shadows. To give back some of the detailing, I then drybrushed all of the formerly chrome parts in Ral Partha's Gold Metallic and Aged Metal. All in all, it made for a nice effect. |

As with the chrome parts on the top, I used a similar treatment for the
chrome inserts in the plane's underside. The main body was left the molded black and assembled, as I mentioned above, in sub-assemblies based on the kit's instructions. Detail painting was also added to the cockpit, though it is not really visible in these pictures. |
