This entire project was concieved the night I held a couple of spare nacelles I had next to my then-roomate's model of the SeaQuest. I filled in the struts and added the weapons pod, and a new ship was born.
| I built this ship using the nacelles from the old MFS Breakstone Lake and the Monogram SeaQuest kit. The wings and weapons pod were scratch-built from balsa and sealed with wood glue prior to painting. The markings were created with my HP printer and ordinary typing paper. I started by cutting channels for the wings in the main body. And then I cut a similar channel in the top for the weapons strut. These channels were cut using a coping saw and actually wound up rather ravaged, requiring a great deal of filling once the wings and strut were in place | ![]() |

The tail fins normally found on the SeaQuest were omitted in favor of converting the engine pod into a four vent impulse engine. The circular thrusters were cut out creating the four vents. A back plate was made out of balsa and painted red. It was then inserted into the thruster pack prior to assembly. |
| With sanding and filling done, the entire model was then given a white base coat. Details were added in light blue and grey. The running lights and phaser banks were created with parts left over from my fiber optic kit of Deep Space Nine. | ![]() |

The striping for the banners was hand painted and all lettering was made using my HP printer and typing paper. The lettering was then affixed to the hull with white glue. The letters were then sealed with another coat of white glue which dried to a clear finish. |
