After finishing work on a commission project that left me with a Reliant worth of spare parts, I opted to ressurrect on of my old designs and update it a bit.
| After a little planning, I proceeded from my old Salem class cruiser. I chopped out the middle of the aft hull and rebuilt the impulse deck more inboard, between the extensions. I built my usual "back swept" struts from sheet styrene and made ready to attach them to the sides of the hull. | ![]() |

In a move inspired by Simon and Shuster's Starship Creator, I opted to
cut a chunk out of the front of the saucer. This allowed me to install a deflector in the saucer and flank it with a pair of phaser cannon. The phaser cannon were built using plastic tube, the old "mega phasers" from the Reliant, as well as bits from my spares box to give the right feel of detail. |
| The torpedo assembly was mounted on a strut coming up out of the hull,
but otherwise was pretty much stock. The hull was given a red base coat mostly because that was the only color I had in spray paint available at the time(and I was getting tired of monotonous white ships). The markings were salvaged from the Reliant decal sheet with name and hull numbers coming from an old Web Games sheet. |
