USS Quasar NX-74500

After nearly eight years and three prior incarnations, I finally came up with a satisfactory successor to the Odysseus.
The Quasar here, after aggravating me for nearly eight years, practically designed herself while I was working on Kevin Parkison's Enterprise D.

As I said, she practically designed herself. I inverted the nacelles on the AMT Enterprise E and then inverted the secondary hull over the saucer of the Enterprise D. That was that, the Quasar was about to be born...finally.

I removed the fron inch from the E secondary hull after adding the inverted nacelle assemblies and then super-glued in to the top of a D saucer. Any gaps were filled and rounded off with clay and putty.

The gap where the old D neck assembly was to fit was filled with styrene to become the new shuttlebay. The ship was painted in a scheme reminiscent of the E and then decalled with a combination of the stock E decals and a set of custom decals that I drew up in Corel Draw and printed at the local Kinko's.
All in all, I was rather pleased with how she turned out.

She's a fairly attractive ship from just about every angle.
