These rugged ships have appealed to me since their debut in ST:III. I was given this version of the kit by James Coffin, a friend of mine from an old job.
| My second attempt to build the Bird of Prey. This one was built with the wings down and painted a little differently than the standard kit instructions. I started with a base white primer and then gave the entire model a green-blue wash for the base color. Individual details were added in darker green. The rest of the kit was painted pretty much according to the instructions. |  |

In another departure from the kit instructions, I opted to do a multi-colored wing underside rather than the traditional red. As with my other bird of prey, I opted for battle damage as these ships get well used. |
