Imperial Star Destroyer

The most intimidating ships this side of the Death Star. I was disappointed when the model was so small.

Following a disappointing first attempt at building the kit, I decided to use it for a study in simulating battle damage. The techniques I refined here would later assist me on the battle-damaged Odysseus.
I originally started by simply painting the damage, but that was very unsatisfactory.
I then used a bead of model glue and lit it with a match before it had a chance to dry. As you can see from these two pics, I may have gotten carried away, but the damage looks good.
The recent fiber optic version of the kit. Having a good deal more modelling experience under my belt, this one went together much better. It was basically built stock and painted white.
While you can barely see it in this picture, I did add one "modification" to the kit. That fuzzy spec on the back of the bridge tower is nothing other than the Millenium Falcon. (I promise to get better pics of this up in the future)
