Concieved shortly after the Sovereign class ships, the Excalibur class dreadnought is designed to be the most powerful ship in the Empire.

My one VERY rough version of the schematic(it was originally intended ONLY for the purpose of roughing out the model)

This rendition of the Excalibur came about as a use for the parts left over from building the Quasar.
The backstory was written using an alternate Mirror, Mirror universe wherein the Empire never fell.
