With the success of the
Sovereign class starship,
Starfleet made the decision to commission an update to the old
Federation and
Alliance class "dreadnoughts."
A third nacelle was placed in the upper middle of the secondary hull of the
Sovereign class spaceframe, while the original nacelles were mounted on downward
slanting struts.
Given the wealth of "dreadnought" designs out there, I decided to add my own to the mix.
