In the aftermath of the destruction at Wolf 359, Many ships were put into production and tested.
The Starblazer owes its roots to the successful Miranda class of ships, but takes the configuration in a different direction.
While the Miranda is primarily an explorer, the Starblazer is designed primarily as a warship. With the advent of war with the Dominion, production of these ships was stepped up.

STARBLAZER CLASS SCHEMATIC

When this design was made in Starship Creator, it had an underslung rollbar/weapons pod.
I didn't like the way that looked, so removed it from the design in order to come up with the Starblazer as you see it here.
