Chris Olsen

Christian (Wrol, Chris or 'WC') was committed to family, church, and not afraid of hard work or to attempt new or difficult tasks. His first wife and newborn child died in 1894 leaving Chris alone to raise four children. His wife's mother offered to raise the children. Chris new it would be difficult to raising a family alone, he had watch his own father attempt this difficult task. Chris remained committed to the care of his children.

This family photo of the Chris Olsen family had some special visitors when the photo was taken. Carl Steen (far left) holding??? who died from an accident not long after this picture was taken. Ingeborg stands in the middle with ostrich plume hat. Chris (added by digital magic) stands in the back. Eugene (TE's son stands in the front left next to the older Roy Olsen (killed in the First World War. Two neighbor girls stand behind Roy (probably there for a sleep over.
