We start our study of the Schuldt family heritage with a trip to a library in Germany. A good friend, Rainer Schuldt scans and sends copies of two old 'Schuldt' family crests to America. We discover that our Grandfather Schuldt left Germany in the late 1800's. He met his sweetheart here and was married and had a large family. The Schuldt's first settled in Iowa. The farm home was destroyed not once but twice by 'twisters.' The Schuldt's demonstrate their faith and courage by leaving a good farm to make the trip to Idaho Falls, Idaho to start farming all over again. A new chapter begins in Idaho. Soon a very successful farm begins to develop. The children grow up and start families of their own. Challenges begin to appear again. The war comes and is followed by the 'Depression.
