Those Mormon Missionaries came again today
To see if I had a chance to pray
About their Book of Mormon.

That book is exceedingly boring
And only brings me to snoring.
I can't believe they read it themselves.

I unwittingly gave in and got mesmerized
To the point I accidentally got baptized.
They said all my sins would be washed away.

Well, now I'm a Mormon -- and learn each day
That, indeed, I'm a sinner in more than one way....
Pure before -- and now stained beyond belief.

And, my oh my, I drank a coke today, ...
Found out that's a sin that didn't get washed away.
Some others, too, I can't seem to shake.

I failed to pay my tithing.
So couldn't see my kid's temple wedding.
All because I couldn't afford to pay my 10%.

I also wear these funny underclothes ...
24 hours a day -- even while I doze.
This is something they didn't tell me.

I was hoping to get rid of this spell.
However, rejection is a ticket to Hell.
At least they tell me this is true.

So here I sit with terrible guilt all about.
I'm trapped and can't get out.
Anyone else in this same fix?

Oh what a mess those missionaries got me into.
