The Picture Page
James, Wayne, Dianne
One of the traditional vacations is to drive to Yellowstone National Park and enjoy a wonderland
of beauty. James, our youngest son, enjoys this picture taking outing at every opportunity.
This particular spot is located between Old Faithful and West Thumb. This quiet forest
solitude
is only a stones throw away from an off-the-road picnic spot. A meandering, crystal clear stream
noiselessly flows near our feet.
Great Fountain Geyser
An eruption of Great Fountain Geyser on Fountain Flats Drive is worth the wait. Truly one of
the spectacular and prolonged geyser eruptions one can plan on seeing. On this same drive lies
Hot Lake. Massive quantities of hot water stream from boiling springs. Off the beaten trail near
Great Fountain one can explore strange sounds, see beautiful pools of hot water, and walk near
mysterious sights seldom seen by the typical Yellowstone Park visitor.
